In 2019, the Tanzania Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Commission, a government agency, officially recognised ICDL Africa as a partner to certify individuals with an internationally recognised benchmark certification in digital skills. This recognition underscores ICDL’s role in human capital development across Tanzania’s education, public, and private sectors. The ICT Commission acknowledged that ICDL’s certification standard aligns with its capacity-building function and supports the attainment of ICT policy objectives, contributing to the nation’s transformation towards a knowledge-based society. ICDL Global
