“My journey with ICDL through the University of Zimbabwe has been incredibly impactful,” shares Munashe Kalembela, an Administrative Assistant at Girls in Tech Zimbabwe. “I completed ICDL Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentations, and Databases to strengthen my fundamental computer skills, and the content of these modules has significantly boosted my career prospects.”

Munashe, a Software Engineering Student, award-winning Mental Health Advocate, Speaker, STEM enthusiast, Girl in Tech, Entrepreneur, Graphics Designer, and Innovator, highlights how ICDL certification has directly increased her chances of employment and promotion in roles demanding strong computer proficiency. She emphasizes that the program provided “a structured and effective learning path towards digital certification.”

For Munashe, the decision to become ICDL certified was clear, driven by a desire for “increased employability, career enhancement, and improved productivity and effectiveness.” She states, “To me, being ICDL Certified means possessing a valuable tool that validates my digital skills, enhances my career prospects, and significantly improves my overall productivity and efficiency when using Microsoft Office applications.”

Looking ahead, Munashe plans to continue expanding her digital expertise by pursuing further ICDL modules, specifically showing interest in Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, and Cyber Security.
