ICDL recognised for alignment with international digital learning standards
The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) awarded ICDL a Seal of Alignment, recognising that the ICDL programme aligns with internationally recognised standards for technology-enabled learning and digital competence. The Seal of Alignment demonstrates that ICDL was independently reviewed by ISTE and found to support the knowledge, skills and behaviours outlined in the ISTE Standards.
ICDL first received the ISTE Seal of Alignment in May 2017, and the recognition was subsequently renewed in 2021, reinforcing ICDL’s continued relevance as a high-quality digital skills certification programme.

ICDL and the ISTE Standards
Through ISTE’s review process, ICDL was found to address all elements of the Readiness level of the 2016 ISTE Standards for Students, making it one of only a small number of programmes to achieve this level of alignment.
