Alliance for Community Capacity Building Joins ICDL Asia as New ATC in Northeastern India

In a significant step towards fostering digital literacy and skill development in Northeast India, ICDL Asia proudly welcomes the Alliance for Community Capacity Building as the newest Accredited Test Centre (ATC) in Assam, one of the largest states by population in Northeastern India.

Driven by a passionate voluntary group of individuals and Assamese diaspora associations, the non-profit organisation focuses on initiatives uplifting Assam’s youth from diverse backgrounds. The core objective is to equip young minds with the essential skills and knowledge required to thrive in the fast-paced and ever-evolving world through various programmes, providing them with emotional, material, and logistical support. Other key objectives include promoting lifelong learning for professional development and building a collaborative community by fostering a community of learners, professionals, and entrepreneurs to encourage the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and resources.

The newly established ICDL Accredited Test Centre is strategically located at the heart of Guwahati University, specifically at Unit 38, Guwahati University Market Complex. The organisation envisions promoting the ICDL internationally recognised certification through various partnerships and offering funding to sponsor deserving candidates with financial constraints, enabling them to obtain ICDL modules and certification through donations to the extent possible.

As the first ICDL Accredited Test Centre in Northeast India, the Alliance for Community Capacity Building stands as a beacon of hope and progress, paving the way for a brighter future for the youth in the area. The partnership between ICDL Asia and the Alliance for Community Capacity Building aligns seamlessly with ICDL global mission of promoting internationally recognised digital skills standards and empowering individuals to be well-equipped for the demands of the modern technology-driven world.
