Universitas Islam Indonesia Signs a Cooperation Agreement with ICDL Accredited Test Centre to Advance Digital Skills Development

Indonesia, February 2025 – Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), based in Yogyakarta, has taken a significant step forward in enhancing digital literacy and ICT competencies for its students and the wider community, through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement with ICDL Accredited Test Centre, PT Solusi Edukasi Internasional (SEI).

This marks the beginning of a strategic partnership to implement digital skills training and certification via ICDL programmes, and further strengthens UII’s role as a leading institution for future-ready skills development in Indonesia.

The Agreement was signed by Dr. R. Teduh Dirgahayu, S.T., M.Sc. (Head of Informatics Department, Faculty of Industrial Technology, UII) as well as Ms. Natasa Tjahjana S. (Director, SEI), and witnessed by Mr. Rahadian Kurniawan, S.Kom., M.Kom. (Director, IT Centrum, UII).

The Informatics Department at UII oversees three key programmes: Bachelor of Computer (Informatics), International Undergraduate Programme in Informatics (via distance learning), and Master of Informatics.

As part of its mission to enhance digital capabilities, thus increasing graduates’ competitiveness in the workforce and in society, the Department established an IT training centre, IT Centrum, to support these goals, by providing internationally recognised certification programmes such as ICDL.

This collaboration between UII and SEI is also expected to equip UII faculty members, the wider community in Yogyakarta, as well as UII’s extensive network of partner institutions across Indonesia, with the global digital skills standards which ICDL are aligned to. This will enable all beneficiaries of ICDL programmes to be prepared for success towards the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision.

“In today’s digital era, digital literacy is an essential skill for everyone,” said Dr. Teduh Dirgahayu. “The Informatics Department at Universitas Islam Indonesia is proud to collaborate with PT Solusi Edukasi Internasional, an ICDL Accredited Test Centre, in delivering training and certification programmes on digital literacy. We believe this partnership will create a positive impact for all stakeholders involved.”
