FEDA Madrid, formerly known as ASET, continues to demonstrate its commitment to preparing students for the evolving demands of the modern workplace through the integration of ICDL into its vocational training programmes. As a renowned German school for dual business training, accredited by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Conference of Ministers of Education and Culture of the Federal Republic of Germany, FEDA Madrid has long been recognised for delivering high-quality education that combines academic learning with practical workplace experience.
For more than four decades, FEDA Madrid has worked closely with the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain and leading international companies including Stihl, Kuehne+Nagel, DB Schenker, Transfesa Logistics, SanLucar, and Thyssenkrupp. Together, they provide dual vocational training and dual degrees in Business Administration and Management, delivered in both German and Spanish. Operating as a non-profit association supported by over 60 member companies, FEDA Madrid has built a strong reputation for equipping students with the skills employers need.
In 2023, FEDA Madrid incorporated ICDL into its annual training programme, further strengthening its focus on digital competence and workplace readiness. Recognising that digital skills are now essential across virtually every industry, the school sought an internationally recognised certification that would provide students with practical, transferable skills and a valuable credential for their future careers.
“It was important for us that our students could directly apply the ICDL knowledge they acquired during their practical training in their partner companies; that’s why ICDL is perfect for us,” explains Alexander Bauer, instructor at FEDA Madrid.
The introduction of ICDL has allowed students to gain recognised certification in key workplace applications, particularly through the ICDL Spreadsheet and Advanced Spreadsheet modules. These certifications ensure that learners develop the data handling, analysis, and productivity skills increasingly sought after by employers, while also giving them the confidence to apply their knowledge in real-world business environments.
By incorporating ICDL into its educational offering, FEDA Madrid is helping students build a strong foundation of digital competencies that complement their vocational training. The programme not only enhances employability through internationally recognised certification, but also fosters a culture of continuous learning and adaptability, qualities that are essential in today’s rapidly changing digital economy.
As an official ICDL training and testing centre in Spain, FEDA Madrid continues to reinforce its position as an innovative educational institution committed to excellence, ensuring that graduates leave with both the professional qualifications and digital skills needed to succeed in an increasingly technology-driven world.
