Singapore, July 30, 2024 – The National Digital Explorer (NDE) 2024 competition has concluded with remarkable success. Jointly organised by Crescent Girls’ School and ICDL Asia, this nationwide digital literacy initiative aimed to empower Singaporean students aged 9 to 18 with real-world digital skills, fostering critical thinking and enhancing their productivity as learners in the digital realm.
NDE 2024 provided an excellent platform for students to gain valuable experience, network with peers, and showcase their digital proficiency at a national level. The competition featured several tracks, including the Business Track and Emerging Technologies Track, to strengthen students’ digital literacy and technological skills.
Among the 2,300 students who participated in the preliminary round, 100 top-performing students advanced to represent their schools in the National Round, held on July 31, 2024, at Crescent Girls’ School.
The Business Track required primary-level students to master digital skills in Spreadsheets and Presentations, while secondary and junior college-level students focused on Advanced Presentation and Management Spreadsheets.
The Emerging Technologies Track offered students opportunities to develop a clear understanding of cutting-edge digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things.
