Digital Focus Joins ICDL as Accredited Test Centre in Thailand and Celebrates Successful Launch of Initial Staff Training and Certification 


Bangkok, Thailand, April 2025 – Digital Focus Co., Ltd. has officially joined ICDL as an Accredited Test Centre (ATC) in Thailand. The appointment was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signifying a shared commitment to enhancing digital literacy and driving workforce transformation across the country. 

The MoU was signed by Mr. Somchai Prajaksut, CEO of Digital Focus and Dr. Hugh O’Connell, Managing Director of ICDL Thailand. Other witnesses also include Ms. Tina Wu, CEO of ICDL Asia, alongside other representatives from Digital Focus and ICDL Thailand. 

Through this partnership, Digital Focus will begin offering the internationally recognised ICDL digital skills certification programmes to students, educators, and industry professionals across Thailand’s education and corporate sectors. This milestone marks a significant step forward in aligning Thailand’s digital talent with global workforce standards. 

This initiative plays an integral role in supporting Thailand’s broader strategy to build a digitally skilled and future-ready workforce by promoting digital transformation within organisations and strengthening the link between education and industry needs. 

Empowering Internal Employees with ICDL Digital Skills Certification Programme 

Demonstrating its strong commitment to digital upskilling, Digital Focus launched an internal rollout of ICDL training for its employees. The programme focused on foundational digital skills modules, including Computer & Online Essentials and Application Essentials. 

Led by Mr Somchai Prajaksut, CEO of Digital Focus, a total of 95 staff members from various departments participated in structured ICDL training and certification tests. The programme was delivered by certified instructors with ICDL resources and digital learning materials. 

Staff members who successfully completed the modules received ICDL Profile Certificates and e-Badges, providing credible recognition of their digital competencies. The training not only enhanced internal digital capabilities but also fostered a culture of peer learning and strengthened cross-team collaboration. 

Fostering a Culture of Digital Excellence in the Workforce 

To further motivate and recognise employee achievements, Digital Focus awarded a monetary incentive of 1,000 THB each to the five highest-scoring participants. The initiative, backed by strong support from senior leadership, helped energise teams and embed a culture of continuous digital learning within the organisation. 

Looking ahead, Digital Focus is already planning to expand its training offerings to include advanced ICDL modules such as Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data. These efforts align closely with the organisation’s long-term strategy to enhance technical capabilities and prepare its workforce for an increasingly complex digital future.
