For instance, the agreement between the UAE Ministry of Performance Development for Government Departments and ICDL GCC Foundation to make ICDL mandatory for all federal government employees is a testament to the program’s role in advancing e-governance and contributing to the socio-economic growth of the country. The uniform knowledge base created by ICDL certification fosters a culture of lifelong learning, positioning individuals and organisations in MENA to actively participate in the global digital landscape and contribute to the ongoing technological advancements in the region.
ICDL activity in the Middle East and North African (MENA) territories are managed by a number of National Operators based in the region, namely Specto, based in Amman, Jordan, ICDL Arabia based in Dubai, UAE and Vision Beyond, based in Lebanon and LQAS, based in Libya.
