In collaboration with the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) and Optisage Technologies, ICDL Asia recently concluded an impactful e-commerce domain expert-sharing workshop in Singapore and Malaysia. The half-day workshops, held on January 16th and 17th, showcased industry experts and trainers from YiCai Business School formerly from Alibaba’s Taobao University and AWS China, offering an exclusive exploration into the dynamics of China’s expansive USD 2.68 trillion e-commerce market. 

Focusing on China’s vast e-commerce market, the workshop highlighted the best practices of digital marketing employed by successful e-commerce players across a spectrum of platforms, including Alibaba, Taobao, Tmall, Shein, Little Red Book, Ping Duo Duo (the Chinese origin of TEMU), and TikTok. Renowned experts like Mr. Huang Lei, President of YiCai Business School, and Mr. Qu Zixuan, Chief Researcher of YiCai Business School, shared firsthand experiences, enriching participants’ understanding of the evolving consumer landscape and digital platforms in China. This deepened the participants’ understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce strategies essential for business success and driving sustainable growth during the workshop.

The evolving consumer landscape, marked by the disruptive influence of new platforms such as Ping Duo Duo, TikTok, Little Red Book, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) influential partnerships that enhance brand visibility, was a focal point.
