NCC Education and ICDL announce New Direct Entry recognition for ICDL Candidates to NCC Education Level 3 Diploma in Computing qualification.

October 2024 – NCC Education and ICDL are pleased to announce a significant milestone in our association, enabling the recognition of ICDL modules for direct entry and exemption and credit transfers into NCC Education’s Level 3 Diploma in Computing programme.  

This mapping provides students with a seamless academic pathway, allowing them to fast-track their qualifications with relevant digital skills certification and gain direct entry into NCC Education’s Level 3 Diploma in Computing qualification that is recognised by over 100 universities, branch campuses, business schools and professional bodies. More information on university progression and recognition is available/ can be obtained in NCC Education’s “What Next? University Progression” brochure.    

ICDL candidates who complete specific ICDL modules will be eligible to transfer credits into corresponding units of NCC Education’s Level 3 Diploma in Computing. As such, ICDL candidates certified in the ICDL Computing (Coding Principles) module can transfer credits to the Introduction to Python Programming unit. Additionally, students who complete ICDL modules such as Computer & Online Essentials, Cyber Security, Application Essentials, and Information and Collaboration Essentials will be able to transfer credits to the NCC Education Level 3 Diploma in Computing: Introduction to Computer Science and Digital World units.

This initiative marks a key milestone in providing students with a streamlined route to internationally recognised qualifications. By leveraging ICDL certifications, students can now accelerate their progress through NCC Education’s Level 3 Diploma in Computing, delivered by over 200 Accredited Partner Centres in more than 60 countries.

Additionally, it provides students with a clear pathway to earning a full British diploma, further enhancing their academic and career prospects.
