ICDL is proud to celebrate with MTN Uganda, with support from MTN Foundation, as 103 young Ugandans graduated from the second cohort of the MTN ACE Initiative, a program designed to equip youth with essential digital, business, and entrepreneurial skills.
Over the course of seven weeks, participants engaged in intensive training and assessment across ICDL modules such as:
Computer & Online Essentials
Documents & Spreadsheets
Digital Marketing
Presentations
Web Editing
E-Commerce
Through MTN Foundation’s support and delivery, these learners successfully navigated a rigorous process including diagnostic tests and final certification exams to achieve ICDL certification.
Highlights from the program:
A total of 154 participants enrolled from all regions of Uganda (Northern, Eastern, Western, and Central), with 56% male and 44% female representation, 103 completing certification, and 94.9% rating the skills learned as “very useful.”
While challenges such as connectivity and balancing commitments were noted, the resilience of participants, combined with MTN Foundation’s strong delivery, ensured success.
At ICDL, we are proud that our certification played a role in this milestone. Together with MTN Foundation, we look forward to continuing to empower Uganda’s youth with the skills to thrive in a digital-first future.
