ICDL Asia Digital Challenge 2024 has concluded with resounding success, marking another milestone for this prestigious annual digital competition in the Asia Pacific region.
Since its inception in 2017, the competition has grown exponentially, serving as a platform to recognise and celebrate the digital skills of students across Asia. This year’s edition is particularly historic, as it marks the first time the competition welcomed primary school students, in addition to participants from secondary schools and tertiary institutions. This reflects ICDL Asia commitment to nurturing digital literacy from a young age and fostering the systematic development of essential digital skills among future-ready learners.
Over the past nine months, from March to November 2024, the competition brought together more than 10,000 students from over 220 schools and institutions across 14 territories, including Bhutan, Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. The strong interest and demand in participation highlights the competition’s growing prominence and its pivotal role in catalyzing young talents in equipping essential digital skills.
