ICDL Upskilling Project Enhances Malaysian Educators’ Expertise with Big Data and AI through MDEC’s Cikgu Juara Digital Programme

Malaysia, August 2024 – As part of the ICDL upskilling initiative for Malaysian educators, ICDL Accredited Test Centre, MMU Cnergy has successfully delivered two specialised training sessions on Big Data and AI modules as part of the Cikgu Juara Digital (Digital Champion Teachers) programme by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).

Held between June and July 2024, these sessions successfully empowered 30 educators with essential digital skills, enabling them to acquire ICDL certification and strengthen their roles as leaders in education technology.

Launched in 2019, the Cikgu Juara Digital programme is a flagship initiative by MDEC, designed to identify and elevate educators within Malaysia’s public education system who are at the forefront of integrating technology into their teaching practices.

This latest collaboration represents a significant step forward in advancing digital literacy among educators, a crucial element in Malaysia’s ongoing digital transformation. As educators become more proficient in using advanced technologies like Big Data and AI, they are better equipped to prepare and inspire their students for the demands of a rapidly evolving digital world.

Feedback from the participants was highly positive, praising both the relevance of the ICDL modules and the quality of training delivered by MMU Cnergy.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in our collaboration with MDEC, supported by MMU Cnergy. ICDL Asia remains committed to supporting similar initiatives, ensuring that educators have access to the resources and training needed to thrive in a digital-first environment.
