Emerson Education continues to champion ICDL Certification in Tanzania

Emerson Education Limited in Tanzania signed up with ICDL Africa to offer ICDL Training and Certification in 2016.

The Introduction of ICDL Programme as an International Certification in digital skills at the training center has contributed to a global digital skills acquisition for ICDL candidates enrolled at Emerson Education. The difference between students who enroll for the Programme and those who prefer local certifications is wide.. ICDL Programme has a very rich and user-friendly content that caters for both the novice users to professionals in imparting the right Digital Skills required in todays’ competence based global economy.

The ATC has continued and enjoys championing for ICDL certification as a digital skills standard. To increase ICDL awareness and visibility in the market, Emerson Education has placed ICDL billboards in strategic locations across Dar es Salaam region and make use of aggressive social media campaigns to promote brand awareness of ICDL locally. This has led to the increase in candidate registrations at the Centre. To date over three hundred (300) candidates have enrolled at the ATC.

The management and ICDL candidates at the center are very excited following the recent introduction of the ICDL Skillsbox testing platform. The General Manager, Mr. Faizan has been leading the initiative to give candidates a convenient way to learn, test and certify from the comfort of their homes and offices, bearing great fruits.

The ICDL Skillsbox has provided learners at the ATC with a wider range of modules spanning across ICDL Workforce that offers Digital skills for employability and productivity and the ICDL Professional that offers Digital skills for occupational effectiveness.

With the efforts Emerson Education are making and the support from ICDL Africa team in Tanzania, the ATC is working towards the right direction to become an ICDL Centre of choice.  This will lead to increased number of ICDL candidates’ registrations with a target to double digits in the coming years.
