As a participant in the Refugee Digital Skilling Project, led by Uganda’s Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, Adut Martha Marial took on ICDL modules including Computer & Online Essentials, Cyber Security, Digital Marketing, and Web Editing at Kampala International University.
The impact was immediate. By applying her digital marketing skills, Adut created online employment opportunities for herself, improving her standard of living while building confidence and resilience in today’s digital economy.
“For me, ICDL Certification has been transformative. It gave me credibility, opened doors for career growth, and empowered me to fully embrace the digital world,” she says.
Adut’s story is a clear example of how digital skilling changes lives — building self-reliance and creating opportunities for the future.
