In a pioneering move, the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) in Kenya has officially accredited ICDL Africa as a “Foreign Examination Body.” This recognition includes approval for the ICDL program as a certificate-level qualification within the TVETA system. By accrediting ICDL Africa as a foreign certification body, acknowledged for providing Digital Skills Certifications in Kenya, TVETA has opened avenues for TVET Institutions across the country to offer ICDL both as a private and publicly sponsored program. This landmark accreditation underscores the importance of digital skills in Kenya’s vocational education landscape, paving the way for broader access to internationally recognized certifications.
