ICDL Africa held its Annual Forum in Nairobi, Kenya on September 2nd. The event was an opportunity for ICDL Africa staff to meet with ATCs from across Kenya.
General Manager of ICDL Africa, Daniel Palmer gave a presentation on the New Digital Divide. Etinick Mutinda, ICDL Development - Kenya, gave a presentation on ICDL programme and operational updates since last year's Forum. Emanuele Fiocchi from Web Science, gave an update developments within the Kplace Automated Testing System (ATS) and Marie-Claire Walsh, Partner Relations Manager, ICDL Africa presented the results of the first ever ATC Feedback Survey, conducted over the summer.
Undoubtedly the highlight of the day was the presentation of the first ever ICDL Africa ATC Awards. Winners: Operational Excellence Award: KCA University, Marketing Excellence Award: North Pole College, Special Recognition Award: Hemland College, Pioneer Award: Institute of Advanced Technology (IAT), Outstanding Initiative Award: E-Tech Complete Solutions, ECDL Foundation Best Practice Award: KK Security.
ATCs were very positive about the event and already looking forward to next year, especially the coveted ATC Awards! Congratulations to all involved for what has been a very successful year for ICDL in Africa.
