Jazeera University - setting the standard for ICDL in Somalia

Print page

Jazeera University, Mogadishu becomes the first university in Somalia to adopt the internationally recognised ICDL digital skills certification. The University plans to implement the programme both for its students and with the wider local community, meaning that residents of the Somali capital will be able to learn and verify their IT skills in line with international standards.

‘We want to provide the necessary tools to enable our people to take advantage of ICT to develop themselves and move to the North of the digital divide.’

Mr. Abdirizak Mohamed Hashi - ICDL Coordinator
