ECDL Regional Conference and Forum held in Kosovo

An ECDL Regional Conference and Forum with the theme, ‘from digital literacy to digital competence’ was held on 18 October 2018 in Priština, Kosovo. The opening speech was given by the Chairman of ECDL Foundation, Tony Franke. The conference and forum were organised in four sessions.

In the first session discussion revolved around the importance of digital competence in the Kosovan curriculum. Presentations were given by Mrs Laberi Luzha and Ms Haxhere Zylfiu from the Pedagogical Institute of Kosovo, Mr Jakub Christoph, from ECDL Foundation, and Mr Daniele Cristian Passalacqua, from LuxDev.

The second session included case studies and ECDL practices in Croatia, Kosovo, and Slovenia. The case studies primarily included developments regarding ECDL, challenges, and possible next steps. Lastly, the forum, which included two sessions, was held to discuss the future of ECDL/ICDL rebranding and the overcoming challenges of implementing ECDL in the region.
