650 teachers in China completed the ICDL Teachers Training

Through the announcement from National Centre for Educational Technology (NCET) under the Ministry of Education in China, the first batch of colleges are scheduled to start on ICDL certification programme by the end of 2019. Preceding this, teachers from the 279 vocational colleges went through a 6 days ICDL Teachers Training programme in order for the teachers to teach and train their own students.

1st batch of training class begin on 8 July 2019 in Guangdong to kickstart the ICDL Teachers Training programme. Following on, within the time span of 2 months, training began in 5 more provinces – Jiangsu, Hebei, Henan, Guizhou, Jilin. The 6th batch of training concluded in Jiangsu province, Nanjing city with a total of 650 teachers trained in the ICDL modules.

The modules trained include ICDL Advanced Word Processing, Advanced Spreadsheets, Advanced Presentation, 3D Design, IT Security, Project Planning, Digital Marketing, and ICT in Education. 

In all the 6 batches of the ICDL Teachers Training programme, leaders from NCET attended the opening ceremonies and delivered keynote speech, highlighting vocational education reform and accentuate the importance of digital literacy in China today.
